Our experienced guides will work with you one-on-one to teach you the ways of the Musky. Improve your knowledge and technique of Muskie fishing. Show you safe handling and release techniques. And get some killer “Hero Shots” with your fish! We also work with our state Biologists tagging each new fish and reading tags / recording data of reCaps. This process will be explained to you as you help your guide collect data on your fish.

3️⃣ We can accommodate up to 3 Anglers on the RockProof Jet Boat. Group trips available up to 7 anglers with additional guides. ( Capt. Scott Only )

🔹 Raft & Driftboat Trips accommodate up to 2 anglers in each boat. ( Brody, Brad, Jeremy, Jamie )

🍁 🍂 Our Fall Season starts the second week of September and runs to Dec 1. Fall fishing for Muskies you can expect low clear water with plenty of sight fishing opportunities throughout the season. Top water and blade action in the early fall, giving way to a great crank bait and jerk bait bite later on.

❄️ Our Winter Season or “PreSpawn” runs from Dec through the end of March. This is when our fish are at their heaviest weight all Year and they are putting the feed bag on in preparation for spawn. Your chances of catching a true GIANT Virginia Musky are at their best during this time of year. Any New Moon or Full moon date in the winter season brings even better odds.

🌧️ For the month of April we leave our Muskies alone and let them focus on having a successful spawn. During this month we are chasing trophy 5lb+ Smallmouth. ( See our Listing for “ PreSpawn Trophy Smallmouth” )

🌖 Our Postspawn Season is during the months of May and June. This is a favorite among anglers for the very exciting Blade Bite. Burning blades to the boat as fast you can or double hand stripping a Fly back to the boat can produce some incredible strikes and boatside Figure 8 action ! Top Water and Sight Fishing is also a common tactic during this time of year.

☀️ July and August we hang the musky rods up while it is too hot to ethically catch and release musky in Virginia. We will be switching over to warm water species such as smallmouth , Gar on the Fly , Striped Bass, and Catfish. ( See Our Listing for “Summer Multi-Species Trip”)

Cancellation Policy

A 14 day advanced notice for all cancellations is required for a full refund. Within 14 days you are responsible for 100% of the trip cost. Cancellation due to extreme weather conditions will be determined by the captain only when the safety of the client is at risk. Reasons we may reschedule your trip:
